Hit the lights

Hello folks. How was New Year’s? Mine was very much fruitful. I spent all my rupiahs in Bali and came home with the beautiful landscape and sceneries saved in the photo album in my head. Oh yes. Almost forgot about the good news I received. My sister is getting a car. At 21 years old. Lucky fella. I didn’t have that luxury when I was 21.

Speaking about how she got the car. It’s quite a long story. This uncle of mine wanted to either sell/ trade in his car to get a new car. Here’s the thing. He’s undecided on which car to get and how to get rid of the old car. So, being a good niece, I helped him check out some details with a few clicks of the mouse. Who says you need to use the newspaper to check out the current promo? So yeah. I went to these few “places” to have a good understanding of the current market.

Car List I came here to have a look at the process and procedures of post a car ad. Then I found some cool cars for sale (second hand). Loved the site because everything is summarized and it made for people who hate to read long winded description, like me.

Auto world  I came here to look at the forums and it is more interactive. You can put in your budget and preferred make and voila, the magic list will appear.

Car Sifu  Then I came here to look at the price of new cars and read up on the current news in the car world. Who knows I might come across news that says something in the lines of “tax free cars from year 2013 onwards”, or “free petrol during CNY”. *face palm*

 To cut the long story short, my dad decided to buy the car from my uncle, since selling/ trading it in will only give him very little. Might as well pass it to a relative who will benefit more from the car right? That’s how my sister end up with a new car, in conjunction to her 21st birthday in September. I want my keys too! I was also thinking, since we can get so much info from the web, will car dealers make a deal with groupon and offer cheap coupons to buy a car? That would be a great idea. Don’t you think so?
