Hello folks. How was New Year’s? Mine was very much fruitful. I spent all my rupiahs in Bali and came home with the beautiful landscape and sceneries saved in the photo album in my head. Oh yes. Almost forgot about the good news I received. My sister is getting a car. At 21 years old. Lucky fella. I didn’t have that luxury when I was 21.

Speaking about how she got the car. It’s quite a long story. This uncle of mine wanted to either sell/ trade in his car to get a new car. Here’s the thing. He’s undecided on which car to get and how to get rid of the old car. So, being a good niece, I helped him check out some details with a few clicks of the mouse. Who says you need to use the newspaper to check out the current promo? So yeah. I went to these few “places” to have a good understanding of the current market.

Car List I came here to have a look at the process and procedures of post a car ad. Then I found some cool cars for sale (second hand). Loved the site because everything is summarized and it made for people who hate to read long winded description, like me.

Auto world I came here to look at the forums and it is more interactive. You can put in your budget and preferred make and voila, the magic list will appear.

Car Sifu Then I came here to look at the price of new cars and read up on the current news in the car world. Who knows I might come across news that says something in the lines of “tax free cars from year 2013 onwards”, or “free petrol during CNY”. *face palm*

To cut the long story short, my dad decided to buy the car from my uncle, since selling/ trading it in will only give him very little. Might as well pass it to a relative who will benefit more from the car right? That’s how my sister end up with a new car, in conjunction to her 21st birthday in September. I want my keys too! I was also thinking, since we can get so much info from the web, will car dealers make a deal with groupon and offer cheap coupons to buy a car? That would be a great idea. Don’t you think so?

It's the Christmas weekend this week, Bali-New Year weekend after, followed by Malacca, Genting, then CNY! All weekends fully booked from now till January. I had to do this right now.

332 Today is the day where my cousin sister is no longer available to the young men out there. The wedding ceremony went very well. Was thinking of cheeky cheeky games for the bridegroom but we were warned to take care of him. We were considerate & creative. All it took was 5 elements.

Earth - Pick 9 red paper hearts that is hidden inside the flour using chopsticks. Inside the tray, there are 2 shades of red color therefore they should choose wisely. *Flour is used in replacement of sand because of hygiene issues. :)

Metal - Come up with 5 metal items you can find around you. e.g: watches, keys, & sunglasses.

Fire - Light the candle and use the candle wax to form the words "I Love You" on a paper.

Wood - Use toothpicks to form the chinese characters of the bride's name.

Water - Want the key to open the door? Feel free to use whatever way to melt the ice cube that contains the key inside. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I haven't been writing a lot. Saying that not having enough time is never an excuse. So here I am, putting down all the recaps that I usually write down on my phone. This helps a lot, in keeping this space alive. Without further ado, here's all that took place in August.

213 Hi Aug, I can't wait for you to be over. And my best friend will be out of country for about 2 months. I'm going to miss you. Glad that we get to catch up today.

The first key phrase that I typed into the search box when I stumbled upon caribilik was Damansara Heights- the location of my current workplace. Why Damansara Heights you’re asking? Just needed that piece of info in case I decided to shift out of Shah Alam and stay nearer to the workplace so that I get more sleep time. Of course I do not foresee myself shifting out in the near future, YET. Call me nonindependent for all I care. Now, back to the story of this particular site. I’m very much attracted to most of the price offers which are relatively reasonable. Didn’t realize how shallow I was back then I kept thinking that a place in Damansara Heights would be rather, uhm, expensive.

The only thing that I didn’t like was that most of the results didn’t come with a reference picture. That didn’t spoil my mood or anything. The excellent in-depth details/description that was provided overruled that negative aura. There’s always Google remember?

Now the best part of this site. Thinking of going on a short vacation around Malaysia? Don’t like the hotels because it’s expensive? LOOK NO FURTHER I’M SERIOUS. Let me give you an example. Instead of having to pay RM300 per night for a hotel room, why not consider paying RM300 per night for a 7-room HOUSE which you can then share among your bunch of friends? Not kidding. See for yourself. Yes, there are picture references for these short term rental rooms/ home stays.

Just realized that I've totally abandoned my blog. The past few weekends has been really hectic. Here's a quick one. Don't want to ignore this and waste my effort for posting over 160 thoughts already.

162 -Today, I went to work with only 4 hours of sleep from the previous night. And then the moronic neighbor decides to have a party and black fucking loud music till midnight.

163 - Totally love staying at home catching up with my series.

164 - I was crawling, then falling everytime I try to walk. Now, I'm slowly learning how to keep my balance.

165 - Don't like it when there's work coming in after office hours.

166 - My parents is asking me why am I home at 6.30 in the evening. Times have changed.

I managed to go through the horror of having someone wearing the same dress at the recent wedding dinner I went to. The food that were served later than it was supposed to didn't help to clear my dissatisfied mood. And, and, and, I didn't even wanted to wear that dress in the first place. I wanted to dress down and just go with black tights and a top. Because who's gonna be there? Uncles and aunties who ask, "Wah girl, you're so big already. Working already huh. Got boyfriend already?" And the conversation never ends.

Anyway, I shall blame no one for this incident. Note that no animals were harmed in the process of bragging this. So here are my daily numbers. If I don't do this now, this blog might die a quiet death.

I did an analysis while counting the P&L of my 2011 CNY and for the first time, my sister thinks that I'm damn clever. *floating in the air*

Business seems good this year. It can be concluded that a lot of people increased their stake. So here's the 3 major insights I have gained.

- Most common red packet amount: RM 5

- Most common red packet - Public bank, followed by OCBC bank, Hong Leong bank, CIMB, Ambank and Alliance bank. From an advertiser's POV, the rest of the banks needs to work harder in terms of their size, color, pattern and design. Lol!

- Worst red packet design - Carefour. Rabbits are all over the place, upside down. Don't know which side is up and which side is down.

Anyhow, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to those who has given me a red packet to signify blessing. I am truly grateful. I will promise to make good use of the money earned. :))

I wrote a post about our family trip up to the east coast. Then I deleted the post few days later. I simply thought there were too much rubbish in that post. Just know that Good Samaritans still exist. If everyone is like that, policemen will be jobless. Shall we now allow the pictures to speak? They've been waiting for quite a bit.

Tall, tall coconut trees outside the villa. Holiday villa in Cherating. What else were you thinking? The hotel was below average. There's too much chlorine in the pool, the surroundings are not well kept and I felt gross being there for a while. Lucky me for being there for only a day.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

Hi blog, sorry blog. I didn't mean to leave you unattended for so long. *sweeps away dust*

You should know that I've already written a post about my trip to the East Coast. I just haven't got the time to compile the pictures yet.

My christmas eve party was the grenade. We got all numb, read- not drunk. And there were so much food left, we ate them for breakfast too. We saved a lot of money. We didn't went over budget. I admit, we were A BIT tipsy and talking slightly louder than usual. I admit that we went for a car ride in the city and went creating funny jokes about people who walk past. But what is a party like without this feeling?

Everything went well and is heading to where it's suppose to be. So, just wait while the respective camera owners upload their pictures to facebook.

I am very pleased with what is going on now. Please let that stay.

Strangers like me

I attended the Kancil awards ceremony last Friday. It was my first time there and it’s an eye opener to me. Everyone was drinking, inhaling nicotine like oxygen, taking pictures, catching up and having pure joy. That’s what we’re actually good at, after work. We work hard and we play harder.

However, I’ve learned a few very important teachings from that event itself. I learned that life isn’t just about the after-party events that we go to but the people we mingle around and the conversations that we have with one another. It’s about building relationship and trust. It’s less about the drinks but more on observing how the big people behave- to me at least.

December will be here any moment and I don’t see how the flow of drinks is coming to a halt. There’s my cousin’s wedding next week, the Christmas party in the office the week after, followed by another wedding, and the highlight of the year – Christmas and New Year.

With all this said, let’s allow the liver to be the crime scene.

The way I am

My parents will not be the one surprising me with an iPhone or keys to a mini but here’s the top 6 reasons why I think I have the most awesome parents in the world.

When I come back late from work, my dad prepares me dinner. He dish out for me the rice and make sure the soup is warm for me to drink. Then if he’s the one cooking dinner, he will sit down beside me and dish scoop by scoop to my plate, encouraging me to eat. To him, I’m a loyal supporter of his food. He will sit down beside me and talk to me nevertheless even if he’s not the one cooking dinner. This is where we enhance our father-daughter bond.

Once in a green moon, he helps me wash the dishes and clear the garbage. MY DISHES. Can you imagine that he volunteers to wash my dishes when you can count the amount of times he washes his?

My mom still makes breakfast for me every day without fail-even when I tell her, “Mummy, tomorrow no need to wake up so early. I’m eating at the office.” The next morning, I can find at least a cup of hot milo on the table. I find her milo very yummy somehow.

My mom cooks dinner every night without fail. To top it off, she boils a pot of soup. Every.single.day.

My dad makes my bed every day. Can’t help it, because the time I have spared preparing for work excludes the time to make my bed. Shame on me I know.

My dad still pays my credit card bills. I am slowly earning my way through it. Have faith in me.

I know I’m quite pampered. Or in other words a bad daughter for letting her parents do the thing a 22 year old could already do HERSELF. That’s why I still kiss my parents goodnight. For real.

The things I’ve said above may seem very minor but it is enough for me to feel like a princess.

Find a way- To Penang

The truth is I’ve only been to Penang once in my entire lifetime. But the number of overwhelming news about how it is evolving into a city like KL is endless. In my mind, I envision Penang to become a city like Singapore. They’re slowly treating the environment well by having no plastic day every Monday and even planning a smoke-free state. Of course we are all reminded of the traffic congestion that we hear over the radio every other day. See the similarities that little Penang is learning from our neighboring country friend?

There’s more to come. I see tall buildings, be it offices of condominiums soaring up high in the sky. Imagine living in this particular city, being able to enjoy the serenity at night with a glass of wine in hand with your love. Yea, I know we can do this in KL. See this before I further persuade you how this can become the place for retirement.

There’s cheap food, nice beaches, challenging jungles and many more activities one can do over there. Boy, I am overwhelmed by the list of interesting agendas through Wikipedia that I can enjoy. We should all start saving for an apartment in Penang for us to stay during retirement or for a short weekend getaway. Is the idea good enough to motivate you to work harder?

It’s been long. I found out on Monday morning that one of my uncles passed away due to a heart attack. Second uncle to report to heaven this year due to heart attack, second uncle to die in his sleep. Definitely, it wasn’t what I expect to hear when my mom called upon me reaching the office. He was the uncle that actually taught/ gave me my first virgin experience in the casino. We were never that close but he was always there to support our family. It’s Sad to know but that’s life. At least he managed to make his last trip to Genting- his favourite place to be.

Other than that, work is still like usual. I still hate the Jedi very much. I just can’t wait for him to be long gone. Seriously, I don’t like how he talks to me, how rude he is, how he answer me when I ask any questions like I’m not allowed to do so, how he types with only both his index fingers, how he don’t know how to search the fucking files in the fucking server, how fake he is, how smelly he is from smoking some cheapskate cigarettes, how he drives, how he bullshits, how he overpromise the clients, how he doesn’t know how to manage the clients, how he doesn’t know how to manage the flow of the work, how he is as blur as the client, how is he a typical *******, how boastful he is, and the list goes on.

Other than that, the office is fine, really. Although sometimes there are hiccups here and there. This week, my workload that seems endless the whole time suddenly became controllable and manageable. Heck, I even get to leave the office early. My only worry now is my finances. Just realized that my salary is almost gone. And it’s only middle of the month. I honestly don’t know where my money went to.

So there’s the family, work and financial. I know what you are waiting for. Relationships are... complicated but I am enjoying life very much though. There are friends and random dates to keep me company. There are friends who keep me sane by plucking out pickup lines I never expect them to use.

ME: The weather is very hot here. Better enjoy your vacation while you’re there.
X: Yea. It’s all your fault. You’re so hot, you’re causing global warming. You should get a cool guy to warm down the earth.

I do know that you are very aware of today being Friday the 13th. Simply wanting to keep this post on this date, allow me to talk some bullshit about today kay?

The most ironic thing happened to me today. I was just condemning hsbc bank about some of their lousy services to a friend of mine. Then in the afternoon, I got a shock of my life to know that I am required to OPEN A HSBC BANK ACCOUNT FOR PAYROLL PURPOSES. Like damnnn! right? Choice less.

And coming Monday, I will no longer be an intern. Please welcome me to legal slavery. No more going back home at 5.30pm. No more shaking leg, staring at the window enjoying the view of KLCC from my desk, and talking more bullshit with colleagues during free time. Will there be any free time for me at all? Help me pray for that. Also please help remind me to stock up instant cup noodles and energy bars. It is clear that I am preparing myself for the real war.

I still will cross my fingers so that everything goes well and smooth for me. Actually, I don't believe in crossing fingers. Ah, nevertheless. I should have a well balanced mind between hoping for the best and being ready for the worst over the weekend.

If you do not know already, my family recently purchased a car - the second biggest purchase a person will make after the house. It was a tough decision on which car to buy, seeing that living expenses has gone up over the years and it is not easy spending an additional few hundred ringgit to maintain the car. Plus a car's value depreciates with time. Boy, it wasn't easy contemplating between a myvi and the alza. You either get a big car with a big price or a smaller car with a small price. Finally, we decided to go with the first hand Alza. Decided not to buy a second hand car due to the known reasons; the condition of the car, the trustworthiness of the car dealer, and several other what nots. Also decided to not go for the myvi because my family travel a lot and it is definitely easier having a bigger car.

Anyhow, whether it is buying a first hand or a second hand, doing additional research to find out details like the fuel consumption, price, and access of hardware is a definite must. I did mine at this car website. It is indeed useful in terms of the variety of cars that is in our budget that they provide. I was overwhelmed.
